Aadhaar Services by UIDAI

Step 3: In the box, type the security code.
Step 4: If the Aadhaar number you entered is incorrect, click the ‘Reset’ option in the top right-hand corner of the screen to restart again.
Step 5: Cardholders will be able to check whether or not their Aadhaar number is active. The page will also include information such as the cardholder’s age, gender, registered mobile number, and so on.

Verifying email address and phone number

Cardholders can use the UIDAI services to verify their email address and mobile number, which they provided at the time of registration. To verify your email address and mobile number provided during Aadhaar registration, go to UIDAI’s official website, www.uidai.gov.in, and complete the steps listed below.

  • Go to www.uidai.gov.in and select the Verify Email/Mobile Number option under Verify Email/Mobile Number.
  • In the field provided, type your Aadhaar Unique id number.
  • Enter your personal mobile number and email id.
  • In the given box, type the security code.
  • Click on the “Get OTP” button.

Locking and unlocking with biometrics

Biometrics is a feature provided by the Unique Identification Authority of India that allows Aadhaar card holders to lock their biometrics. This service is helpful in that it protects data from being misused. No one will be able to use the UID for authentication once it has been locked. This Aadhaar feature allows cardholders to temporarily unlock their biometric in addition to locking it. The technique for locking and unlocking Biometrics is as follows:

  • Go to www.uidai.gov.in and select Lock/Unlock Biometrics from the drop-down menu.
  • After that, you’ll be directed to resident.uidai.gov.in/biometric-lock, where you can complete the rest of the process.
  • Your Aadhaar UID/VID number must be entered.
  • Enter the security code that was given to you.
  • Click on the Get OTP button.
  • Your registered mobile number will receive an OPT.
  • After that, you must enter the OTP received in the box on the right-hand side of the page.

Checking Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status

Card users can now verify the status of their bank account linking on the UIDAI website by following the procedures below:

  • First, go to www.uidai.gov.in and click on ‘Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status’.
  • It will direct you to a page where you may enter your Aadhaar UID/VID number at resident.uidai.gov.in/bank-mapper.
  • After that, enter the security code.
  • Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered phone number.
  • Once the OTP has been verified, the UIDAI will collect status information from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) portal and update your account.

Aadhaar Authentication History

This service allows users to view the details of Aadhaar card authentications. To view the Aadhaar authentication history, follow instructions below:

  • Enter your UID/VID number
  • Enter the security code
  • Click the ‘Generate OTP’ button.
