In order to apply for an Indian passport online, you must first register a Passport Seva account and follow a few simple procedures. Step 1: Go to the ‘Applicant Home’ page and click on the ‘View Saved/Submitted Applications’ link in the ‘Applicant Dashboard.’
Step 2: The details of the application form submitted will be shown in this step. Fill out the form and select the ARN that corresponds to it.
Step 3: In order to proceed, you must select the “Pay and Schedule Appointment” option from the drop-down menu.

Note: It is important to note that the online charge for tatkaal appointments is the same as the amount for a conventional passport application. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of your appointment at the PSK.

  • Make your payment in person at an SBI branch. Because the challan is only valid for 85 days after it is generated, this cannot be done.)
  • To continue the transaction, obtain a copy of the challan from the receiving bank’s employees.
  • The bank validates the information on the challan within two days.
  • After fees have been successfully paid, the applicant will be able to “watch the payment process” on the website. Additionally, an email is sent.

How to Submit an e-Form

The following are the steps necessary to submit your e-Form:

Step 1: Navigate to the Passport Seva official website.
Step 2: On the homepage, click the link labeled “Download e-Form”.
Step 3: Complete the form completely and accurately.
Step 4: Click the “Validate and Save” button. (An XML file will be created and must be submitted later)
Step 5: From the homepage, select the “Register Now” link..
Step 6: Select the XML file generated in step 4 by clicking on “Upload e-Form”.
Step 7: Click “Pay and Schedule Appointment” on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” page. Payments can be made via SBI’s online banking, linked banks’ internet banking, SBI challan, and debit or credit cards.
Step 8: Select the “Print Application Receipt” link. (Printing is not required; you may also present the SMS with the application details at the office)
Step 9: On the appointment day, visit the Regional Passport Office or Passport Seva Kendra that was reserved for you along with your original documents.
